ReWire was founded by Dr Stastny in 2021.
Dr Stastny is a psychiatrist passionate about helping patients recover from the rigors of mental illness. She grew increasingly frustrated that there is a safe, effective treatment for depression, but which was not available in Cape Town.
TMS is a cutting-edge technology, offering new hope to patients for whom medication isn’t effective. With this in mind she founded Cape Town’s first TMS clinic.
Dr Stastny trained as a doctor at the University of Pretoria, a psychiatrist at the University of Cape Town and got her TMS accreditation from Monash University. She served at the poorest clinics in Africa and worked in cutting edge European hospitals. For the last decade she has practiced from the leafy suburb of Constantia.
